Engineering, procurement and construction of Sopot Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) with inlet collector

Description:

On 05.09.2010 was presented the official opening of Sopot Waste Water Treatment Plant with inlet collector, constructed by consortium "GSM Power Engineering" with leader "Gasstroymontaj" JSC. The official opening was attended by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, Deputy Minister of Environment and Water Ivelina Vasileva, the mayor of Sopot Veselin Lichev, the governer of Plovdiv eng. Ivan Totev, deputy manager of the District Water Operational Company - Plovdiv - Spartak Nikolov, representatives from GERB, councilors and a lot of guests.
Project description:
- WWTP with capacity 10 000 equvalent residents, Q=200l.s., networks and facilities on the site and out of it; service building, pump stations, site water supply and sewage system, emergency pipeline, technical pipeline, internal water supply and sewage system of the service building, CCTS 400kVA, switchboards, site high voltage distribution networks, buildings and ground installations, external lighting, area lighting, technology building, landscaping, internal site roads, landscape architecture and security building;
- inlet road, length 4,494km;
- inlet pipeline - HDPE 90mm, 856m, crossing the railway with horizontal drilling, air release manholes - 1pc. and shafts for valves - 4pcs.;
- inlet collector from village Anevo - HDPE 500mm, 839m, 18pcs., manholes; 5pcs. retaining walls with total length 600m;
- external power supply.
Purification of water at the exit is of the station is 98%. "Water that comes from the Waste Water Treatment Plant has better indicators than drinking water in most places thanks to the very high technology implemented in the facility", said Prime Minister Boyko Borisov.
The project was fulfilled in terms set in the contract and on 10.06.2010 was signed Act.15. Sopot WWTP is one of the first Waste Water Treatment Plants, constructed ont he territory of Bulgaria by funding under the Operational Program Environment. Employer of the project is the Municipality of Sopot.
